Canvas Inspired No. 9

Description

Our Canvas Inspired series starts with an adventure! The artist captures the subject matter of each piece off the beaten path, and usually from a contorted unusual position or angle. These photographs are then printed on canvas and stretched on custom wooden frames made in the S4lti Business studio. When the photograph is stretched and ready for the next phase, the artist will use a variety of mixed media to enhance the natural beauty captured in each piece. Kristi, the artist, tends to use exaggerated bright colors, metallic accents, and a whimsical drawings to create the final piece. The originals are then documented for prints, and finally they are sealed with a varnish for the desired finished effect. When dry, the finished pieces are fitted with a custom frame which is also made in house by the S4lti team. No 8. is the eighth in the series and features a pair of fungi.
